GTA 6 Extended Look: 26 Minutes of Gameplay on Base PS5

Rockstar reveals 26 minutes of raw GTA 6 gameplay captured on base PlayStation 5, showcasing Vice City, combat, driving, and the Criminal Profile system.
On August 27, 2026, Rockstar Games dropped the highly anticipated GTA 6 Extended Look — a massive 26-minute gameplay reveal captured entirely on base PlayStation 5 hardware.
The footage showcased the full scope of Leonida's map, which Rockstar confirmed is 2x the size of GTA 5's Los Santos and 3x the size of Red Dead Redemption 2's map. Vice City alone is reportedly larger than the entire GTA 5 map.
Key features revealed include the Criminal Profile system (replacing RDR2's Honor system), a 6-star wanted level, and police that remember your face, clothes, and vehicle. The WAINK app lets you scan cars before stealing them, revealing value, locks, alarms, and trackers.
The game runs at 30 FPS on base PS5 with no confirmed performance mode. Rockstar emphasized no generative AI was used in development, and there are no microtransactions in single-player.
GTA 6 launches November 19, 2026 for $80 (Standard) or $100 (Ultimate Edition) on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
